Is the Internet revolution and the Network, killing the middle class ?

What we are currently experiencing in the western world is the complete disappearing of the middle class. The gap between rich and poor is widening to an extent that remind us of ancient times and what we thought could have been a democratic and decentralized revolution (the internet) is probably the greatest oligopoly we've ever seen.

Why i say (write) so ?

Because Networking, structured like it is, is not the wonder everyone was expecting. The developed world is folding into austerity and the middle class is declining, there is a decline in social mobility too, and we are seeing an intense and unprecedented phenomenon of wealth concentration. And when we look deeply into this intense wealth concentration, whether from financial or tech companies,  we always find at the top of the network a giant computer associated with that scheme.

The power of propaganda

Our minds are constantly under siege by the propaganda machine, whether from governments or corporations it seems impossible to escape this endless stream of lies that are trying to guide us and move us into preestablished directions.

An example from one of the greatest Propaganda Master ever, an extract from a conversation between Joseph Goebbels (Reich Minister of Propaganda in Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945) and director Fritz Lang :

Democracy and Perpetual War

The western world is declining and while doing so is pressuring the east and middle east to adopt his value and his "way of life".  Empires collapses from within, they don't get overthrown by external aggressor. When the time is right  all it takes is just a little push and they fall apart.

India, China and the Middle east are offering a strong resistance to western domination. Their resistance appears irrational to us, their culture appears irrational to us. But in the end what wins, and stand out, is only a strong belief no matter how rational or irrational it is. Societies that adopt western "way of life" shows a weakness in their moral values. They accept changes from the outside.

Western evolution is at his peak of rationality and that means self-interest and egoism above all, no one is rationally willing to sacrifice his life and comfort for  a society, an abstract value or an idea. This path, ironically, should represent peace and prosperity but instead it leads to extinction.

Does Economic War forestall Military War ?

Geopolitical update:

- Ukraine "civil war" is escalating and could easily end up in a continental war opposing Usa and Russia on the European ground

- Putin is not backing down from western pressure

- Brics are forming an alternative to the Imf and World Bank, they will slowly try to move away from Bretton Woods and Us Dollar hegemony

- All "International Institutions" are under American Control

- Usa simply won't allow another "world standard" different from theirs, no matter the costs or the actions they will have to take

-  Russia offered economic support to Cuba and Argentina (the two most strategic countries, from a geopolitical point of view, in central and south America)

- Europe is highly dependent on Russia's Energy but is (blindly) following American orders

- After the 2008 crisis the western world can't fix their economy, all the money printing from central banks has increased the value of financial assets and stock markets but is not helping the real economy

- War remains the best possible economic stimulus

- The World got into word war II riding horses and got out flying supersonic jets (from spur to supersonic)

- In 1941 Japan attacked the Us Navy in Pearl Harbour only after the American Oil Embargo (economic war) gave them no other choice.

Exposure, popolarity and social risks.

In the past, the popularity of an individual was tied to his ability and to a real social utility or transposition. Today is just the exposure.
Getting exposure is the only obstacle for the differentiation of a person from another. In the era of Internet, information is  faster and superficial. Images and video are the main tools of communication. The devices have enlarged screens and even phones has been transformed from auditory to visual apparatus.

The certainty of sources and information on the Internet is difficult to verify, and then the users of the network can be defined as "potentially" more informed but actually more ignorant. The in-depth analysis have become almost useless, only short visual messages get attention. This superficiality of knowledge is also reflected in interpersonal relationships that also become increasingly shallow and fast.

Exposure is the sole end and the means by which to reach it does not matter.

Every talent or ability is now subject to the Exposure (and not the other way around) as a result once you get enough exposure you can perform multiple tasks. Let's take an extreme example to clarify the concept. Andrew Breivik, author of Utoya massacre in Norway in 2011,  got an exposure that allows him to do basically whatever he wants . Design a line of clothing, write a book or a movie or run a website. The outraged comments  all over the world would just be the best advertising.

This cultural and social trend continues to push us inevitably and increasingly rapidly downward 

We live in a cultural numbness generated by the flow of media images.

La nuova Guerra Italica: Stato Vs Cittadini (soli e divisi)

Per chi ancora non lo avesse capito l'immenso apparato burocratico nazionale è l'unico collante che possa tenere insieme una nazione tanto divisa quanto le contrade di Siena durante il Palio.

E' di alcuni giorni fa la notizia dell'ennesimo sgambetto per piccoli commercianti e consumatori, l'utilizzo del bancomat sopra i 30€. Lo Stato cerca in tutti i modi di salvarsi e salvare i milioni di stipendi (e mazzette) che mantiene a danno e discapito del settore privato e degli Imprenditori. La funzione dello Stato spesso non è solo inutile ma dannosa.

Mentre facevo colazione, stamane, la Barista borbottava ad alta voce dei sogni di ribellione "... Se i commercianti si rifiutassero di acquistare il pos questo problema non esisterebbe, ma quante commissioni dobbiamo ancora pagare alle banche ?..."

Cara Signora ho risposto, perda ogni speranza.  I pochi Italiani rimasti sono ormai vecchi e soprattutto, sono uno dei popoli più codardi e vigliacchi del pianeta. Lo sport nazionale è guardare dallo spioncino della serratura, vivere di nascosto, sognare di nascosto e morire lentamente.

L'Italia ha dominato il mondo per 2.000 anni, abbiamo dato alla civilizzazione moderna tutto quello che ha, ormai quel tempo è passato. I Romani hanno lasciato il loro sangue in Britannia (la loro ultima grande conquista) e questo è finito poi negli Stati Uniti dove ancora utilizzano le aquile. Ma qui non è rimasto nulla Signora, solo le pecore.

Ripubblico questo articolo di Fubini che spiega come mai in Italia, nonostante tutto quello che è stato fatto contro i cittadini, nessuno alzi ancora la voce.

Putin segna un altro gol

Nello scontro Russia-Usa sull'Ucraina, l'Europa ricopre il ruolo del terzo incomodo che prende mazzate da destra e da sinistra. Gli Usa ci dicono di fare muso duro alla Russia e di non preoccuparci per il Gas, saranno loro a fornircelo liquefatto (shale gas revolution). Putin se la ride e ci ricorda che il gas liquefatto non sarà mai più economico di quello da gasdotto.

La situazione Irachena

Breve Riassunto:

• Alla fine della prima guerra mondiale gli Inglesi e i Francesi si "spartiscono" la mesopotamia tracciando i confini dei nuovi Stati (Sykes-Picot agreement) dai resti dell'impero ottomano


• I Russi stanno a guardare ma nel 1917, dopo la rivoluzione bolscevica, pubblicano questo accordo segreto gettando il seme d'odio in medio oriente nei confronti delle potenze coloniali occidentali


• Le divisioni tra Sciiti e Sunniti nascono alla morte di Maometto e sono dovute a pareri discordanti riguardo alla sucessione.


• Entrambi credono ad Allah come unico Dio e Maometto come profeta ma le divergenze  sull'interpretazione del Corano arrivano al punto che molti Sunniti non riconoscono nemmeno come Musulmani gli Sciiti.


• I Sunniti hanno detenuto il potere in Iraq dalla fine della prima guerra mondiale fino all'intervento Usa del 2003.


• Dopo il 2003 il potere è passato in mano agli Sciiti (filo Iraniani) ed è iniziata la vendetta


• I Sunniti si sono alleati con nuovi gruppi terroristi come l'ISIS che minano a distruggere i confini originariamente creati dai coloni occidentali (Sykes-Picot).

Cosa deve fare l'occidente ?

Non intromettersi troppo direttamente e lasciare assorbire la maggior parte delle tensioni alle potenze regionali (Turchia,Iran,Arabia). Difendere i confini di questi stati (tracciati dai coloni Inglesi e Francesi) ad ogni costo potrebbe essere un errore. Concedere che si dividano in tre nuovi stati (Sunniti, Sciiti e Kurdi) potrebbe essere una soluzione.

L'intervento Americano in Iraq (così come quello in Afghanistan) sono stati due fallimenti. Avere rimosso il dittatore, che teneva schiacciata sotto il suo stivale la testa del serpente, ha avuto delle ripercussioni che Washington (nonostante house of cards) non è stata in grado di prevedere.

Il futuro della politica estera

Come la tecnica e la tecnologia cambieranno e stanno cambiando la politica estera ?

L'evoluzione della guerra è l'evoluzione delle specie umana.  Gli stadi della guerra si possono dividere principalmente in 4 fasi. La guerra animale guidata dalla psicologia, la guerra primitiva guidata dalla sociologia, quella "civilizzata" guidata dalle leggi internazionali e quella moderna guidata dalla scienza e operata dalla tecnica.

In questo momento ci stiamo spostando dalla guerra "civilizzata" / "moderna" verso una nuova fase post-moderna che vedrà la scienza e la tecnologia sempre più libere ed autonome in relazione alle legislazioni e ai sistemi internazionali.  Il passaggio dalla guerra animale a quella primitiva si ha con l'abilità dell'uomo di creare città e ambienti sociali, il passaggio a quella "civile" si ha con l'evoluzione del linguaggio e delle capacità di comunicazione. La trasformazione post-moderna è invece data da una sempre minore influenza da parte del linguaggio rispetto ai numeri, alle macchine e alla tecnica.

Un paio di grafici molto interessanti sulla situazione economica globale e sulla "magica" Unione Europea.

Nel primo grafico vediamo, per le principali economie mondiali, quanti abitanti considerino "cattiva" l'economia nei loro paesi. Se lavorate in quelli che hanno una percentuale inferiore al 40% consideratevi fortunati, rispetto all'85% delle principali economie globali, siete nel posto giusto.

Per tutti gli altri "Vox Populi, Vox Dei". La realtà non si nasconde facilmente.
